TODAY at 60…another birthday to celebrate

On January 14, 1952, NBC aired the first episode of the TODAY show.

60 years later, the TODAY show is still thriving and it has decades worth of talent, stories, and fans to show for it.

And even though the anchors have change over the years and set has transitioned and evolved over the times, the mission has stayed the same…share the news with the American people in the morning.

And to commemorate the 60th birthday of the TODAY show, the greats like Hugh Downs, Barbara Walters, Jim Hartz, Tom Brokaw, Jane Pauley, Bryant Gumbel, Willard Scott, Deborah Norville, Katie Couric, Meredith Vieira, Matt Lauer, Ann Curry, Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, all gathered in the New York Bureau to the remember the moments that have made up  the last 60 years of the show.

But I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I always seem to land somewhere when there’s a birthday to celebrate and I really appreciate that. It makes you remember the past and think how you can be even better in the future.

Until next time,
