A few weekends ago, I attended the All Access Fashion at Tysons Galleria in Virginia.
It was like nothing I’d ever seen before — just imagine this. You walk out of Macy’s into the mall and BAM there’s a runway with lights, music blasting and rows of chairs right in the middle of the place — that’s what I saw!
And it was pretty cool — it was an intimate runway setting in a shopping mall.
So I took a sit and enjoyed the show!
For the first show, I watched, I was in the second row which normally would sound just fine but in reality it was like being in the back. All the pictures I took were blurry and it felt like the models moved so fast down the runway that I couldn’t keep up.
So when there was a quick break, I scoped out the place for good seats and then found one right up front, first row! Yep – it was pretty amazing!
Below is just how amazing my seat was for the Karen Millen Fall 2012 collection:
Here comes the flood — aka what happens at the end of a runway show when models show their outfits one more time!
Needless to say, this was a fun afternoon and it was nice to see what it felt like to be a real runway show — even if it was in the middle of mall and not in the middle of New York City.
Until next time ,
