Swapping in the City

It’s that time of the year again! A new season which means new clothes, new accessories and new reasons to go shopping.

But what do you do with your old clothes from last season?

This is where a fashion swap comes in and saves the day!

Fashion swaps are pretty big in the district and they’re a great way to get rid of your old clothes, get some new ways and all for a great price! This week, SnobSwap.com and DewDropDC are joining forces to host, “Swap in the City!” — it’ll be a night of cocktails, fashion and of course, great swapping!

I’ve been to several swaps in my day but this one is sure to be a good time. Tickets are only $20 in advance and you get cocktails, a chance to check out some new pop up shows and the opportunity to swap your old items for some newer ones. This time, the swap will only be for designer brands such as: Anthropologie, BCBG, Marc Jacobs, Micheal Kors, Ella Moss, Joie, Splendid, Seven of Mankind, etc. So you’ll score some great designer threads basically $20 — you can’t beat it.

Kristine, of DewDropDC, and I at her last swap last fall. I scored some great items during her last event, so I know this one will be great!

Plus all the leftover items from the swap will be donated to Goodwill and a portion of all the ticket sales are going to charity to Becky’s Fund, a non-profit working to support victims of domestic violence. So you get to have a good time in the city and support amazing organizations that are helping others.

And if you don’t want to swap, no biggie, still RSVP and enjoy the night. There will be pop up shops with clothes and accessories that you can’t find in stores.

So dress to impress, throw on your heels and head out to 1776 like a modern day Carrie Bradshaw and enjoy the district’s most anticipated designer swap! I’ll be there and I hope to see you too!

Happy Swapping!

Until next time,

KG
